Let’s face it folks, times are hard, and most people just don’t have $700 to $1,000.00 lying around. It’s pretty easy to say charge it, but by the time you’ve paid off that credit card that you used to buy that new laptop you could have bought 4 used laptops for sale or two new ones.
So I’m going to assume that you’re like me. My primary reason for buying a used laptop is the high price of a new one. That being the case, you need to know how to buy a used laptop. It does not take a computer guru to understand supply and demand. Certain used laptops for sale are high in demand and others are not. If you are stuck on name brand items (label whore) then you will pay premium price because everybody thinks like that.

I don’t think I have to mention the top laptop maker in order for you to understand what I mean, however when its time to upgrade you will be better off with a name brand upgradable laptop. So keep in mind that you do not want to buy a computer that can not be upgraded with some of the basic hardware, i.e. RAM, PROCESSOR and HARD DRIVE. When in doubt! Ask!
You need to know exactly what software your used laptop for sale comes with. If you buy a used laptop and you do not have software to reinstall in case it gets corrupted, it will cost you a hefty bill to go out and have it fixed. You will have to pay for the purchase of possibly drivers’ software and/or operating system software.
I have given you a small list of things you need to know in order to qualify the computer for purchase. I also stated in a previous article that other hardware is also important; CD-ROM DRIVER, SOUND CARD, VIDEO CARD, MODEMS and USB PORTS.
Finally, before you take ownership of your used computer, make sure everything works before you take it out the door. Test everything on the laptop. There is no greater frustration than getting home and realizing that something does not work.
